Park Place Parking Garage
Project: This parking garage in Overland Park, KS was in need of re-installation of IPA wood pieces as well as power washing and stain on thousands of wood posts.
Process: Because the parking garage exterior had not been worked on since it was first installed six years ago, the wood posts had fallen off, dried out, and/or have become gray, so the CertaPro crew re-installed 40 15′ long 3″ x 3″ IPA posts. The parking garage is 5 levels tall with two 500 ft long sides and two other 200 ft long sides. The job required an 85′ boom lift and a swing stage in order to reach specific areas.
Due to the parking garage having a pit that runs around three sides, our team had to shut down the top deck and install a swing stage in order to reach the exterior. Throughout the project, the team closed off certain areas from cars in order to power wash and stain different sections of the parking garage. The swing stage had to be moved a total of six times.
Even with a strict schedule, our expert commercial painters were able to complete the job within eight weeks.
