Our crews will arrive at the agreed-upon start time and begin work promptly to ensure an efficient and well-coordinated project. In preparation, please review the steps below so the site is ready for a smooth kickoff and uninterrupted workflow once the team is on-site.
Scheduling Note: While we do our best to stay on schedule, factors like weather or changes in earlier projects can occasionally impact start dates. If anything changes, we’ll keep you informed right away so there are no surprises.
For Exterior Projects – Preparing for Your Painting Crew
To help ensure your exterior painting project runs smoothly, safely, and stays on schedule, please take a few moments to complete the following preparations before our crew arrives:
⭐ Trim back shrubs, bushes, and landscaping at least 12 inches away from exterior walls. Remove any vines or plant growth attached to painted surfaces
⭐ Make sure all windows are fully closed prior to arrival. If your home has experienced past leaks, consider placing towels indoors as a precaution
⭐ Clear decks, patios, and porches of furniture, décor, cushions, and fabric items. (Note: deck surfaces are only pressure washed if they are being stained)
⭐ Unlatch or release window screens from the inside so they can be safely removed from the exterior
⭐ Keep pets secured and away from active work areas, and inform our team of any special instructions or concerns
⭐ Provide access to all work areas by unlocking gates and sharing any necessary entry codes
⭐ Identify exterior water spigots and electrical outlets so our crew can access them if needed
⭐ Communicate any parking restrictions or preferred parking areas near the job site

HOA Reminder
If your property is part of a homeowners association, please ensure all required approvals for paint colors and exterior work have been secured prior to the project start date.

What You Can Expect From Our Team
At CertaPro Painters®, we treat your home and exterior spaces with care, professionalism, and attention to detail from start to finish. Unless otherwise outlined in your project agreement, our crew will complete the following steps to protect your property and ensure a smooth workflow:
⭐ Carefully move or protect patio and porch furniture to create safe and accessible work areas
⭐ Protect surrounding surfaces and exterior areas using drop cloths, plastic sheeting, or other protective materials as needed
⭐ Return all moved furniture and items to their original placement once the project is complete
⭐ Remove job-related materials, paint waste, and debris from the site and dispose of them properly
⭐ Label and leave any remaining paint for future touch-ups and color consistency
Final Walkthrough
Once your project is complete, a Job Site Supervisor will conduct a walkthrough with you to review the finished work and ensure everything meets expectations. Any final touch-ups will be addressed at that time, and questions about the project will be answered before completion sign-off. Our office will also follow up with a courtesy check-in and provide the final invoice for payment processing.
