Methods of Modernization
The owners of this gorgeous home in Greenwood expressed a desire to modernize the aesthetic of their home. Instead of painting their brickwork, they chose to pursue a limewash approach for a fresh, contemporary color scheme.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
The client was in search of full exterior coverage, however, limewash isn’t primarily intended for such use. To accomplish the look the client wanted, an extra layer was eventually applied to provide full coverage to the entire home.
The recommendation for this product’s application is through the use of brushes and rollers. While a paint sprayer can be used, it could potentially damage the equipment. Limewash might be somewhat chaotic during use, but tidying up afterwards is straightforward. Additionally, it’s worth noting that the product is of natural origin.
SPECIAL CHALLENGES
Since limewash typically isn’t used as a full-coverage painting method, we had to apply two coats of limewash to the entire exterior.
