What’s Your Role at CertaPro Painters Indianapolis? Vice President / GM Indianapolis Commercial 

What do you like most about being the (your role) at CertaPro Painters Indianapolis?

 The best part of my role is the relationships I have had the opportunity to build.  This includes my teammates, our painters, vendors and the valued customers I get to work with every day.   Whether it is a large or small project it is incredibly rewarding to take a project from concept to completion.

Tell me about your background before coming to CertaPro Painters Indianapolis?  

I grew up in Southern Indiana and attended college at Indiana University.   

After college I worked for Sherwin-Williams as a store manager and sales rep. I was approached in 2001 by the owner of CertaPro Painters about an opportunity to join their rapidly growing team where I spent the next 8 years helping to grow the residential and commercial businesses. I spent the next 12 years working in the security industry helping businesses and homeowners secure their homes and businesses. In 2021 I had the opportunity to join the corporate team at CertaPro helping over 30 franchise owners grow their businesses. I am thrilled to come full circle, returning to CertaPro Painters of Indianapolis leading the commercial team.

 

Tell us three things people don’t know about you?  

  1. I enjoy just about anything outdoors. On a sunny day you can find me hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, or gardening.
  2. Snakes and heights are my 2 biggest fears.
  3. I have visited 45 of the 50 states in the US.

 

If you could have a super power what would it be?  

Teleportation—for sure. Between job sites, meetings, community events and family time, being able to instantly be where I need to would be a game-changer!

 

What’s your favorite way to give back to your community?  

I enjoy serving at my church and have had the opportunity to serve the local community with Habitat for Humanity and Gleaners Food Bank.

 

What drew you to CertaPro Painters Indianapolis?

The values and people-first culture. From the very beginning, I saw that CertaPro isn’t just about painting buildings—it’s about building relationships, trust, and a brand of certainty.
