Colton is a graduate of Anderson University with degrees in Marketing and Accounting. He has been a member of the CertaPro team since graduating from college in 2012, spending time on both the Residential and Commercial sides of CertaPro’s business. On a daily basis, he partners with Property Management companies, Local businesses, and K-12 schools to help identify current painting needs and offering solutions to those needs.
What’s Your Role at CertaPro Painters Indianapolis?
Oversee the Commercial Marketing, Estimating, and Sales teams in providing a unique and highly desirable experience that stands out from all other contractors.
What do you like most about being the Vice President of Commercial Sales at CertaPro Painters Indianapolis?
Collaborating with our teammates in doing the work and continually enhancing the environment where the work is done. Developing relationships with new customers and exploring how to further grow those relationships with existing customers.
Tell me about your background before coming to CertaPro Painters Indianapolis?
I started as a marketing intern with CertaPro following my Junior of college and that turned into my first job which was with CertaPro as a Residential Sales Associate. That path eventually led to my role on the Commercial team.
Tell us three things people don’t know about you?
I’m a sports enthusiast and competition-aholic. When winning or losing is on the line, my heart is at it’s happiest…unless I lose of course.
I played 4 years of College Football for Anderson University. After an average of 1.5 concussions a year, I wear my stripes proudly by always forgetting where I put my phone, keys, wallet, infant child, etc.
My hobbies are woodworking and remodeling. My wife and I have flipped two homes and are currently working on remodeling an old farm house that was built in the late 1800’s. Word of advice, don’t let your significant other watch HGTV if they are aware that you are capable of doing anything more than hanging a picture because 10 years later all you will want to do is take a nice long siesta.
If you could have a super power what would it be?
Eating without getting full or gaining weight. This would bring so much peace, happiness, and lots of donuts.

The culture and friendships that develop are second to none and provide an environment that rarely, if ever, feels like you are just doing a job. Also, who doesn’t want a vehicle wrapped in CertaGold??
