What’s Your Role at CertaPro Painters Indianapolis?
Commercial Business Development Manager
What do you like most about being the (your role) at CertaPro Painters Indianapolis?
I enjoy the opportunity to meet new people and build meaningful relationships every day. My role allows me to connect with property managers, owners, teams, and other vendors, and become a trusted resource they can rely on.
Tell me about your background before coming to CertaPro Painters Indianapolis?
Prior to CertaPro Painters, I worked in the commercial real estate industry, where I gained experience in property operations and construction/development.
In my recent time at Ambrose, I oversaw asset management tasks including budgeting, asset performance, and accounting. I reviewed tenant leases and assisted in managing our third-party property managers across the US.
At GLP US (now Ares), I spearheaded the configuration and launch of the Yardi Construction Manager module. I collaborated with multiple departments to improve construction/project management procedures and coordinated between project managers and accounting teams to ensure standardized financial processes were followed.
During my time at Prologis, I worked in property management and construction/development. I managed tenant ledgers, assisted with rent schedules, CAM reconciliations, created vendor development contracts, and helped with financial oversight on jobs.
My background gave me a solid understanding of the day-to-day challenges properties face, as well as the importance of having reliable partners you can trust.
Tell us three things people don’t know about you?
- I get motion sickness easily.
- My grandmother is from Japan and left family wealth to marry my grandfather.
- During my sophomore year at Purdue, I took 21 credit hours, worked two part time jobs, was the treasurer of a non-profit organization on campus, and volunteered at the local boys & girls club.
If you could have a super power what would it be?
I often say that I wish I could wiggle my nose and transport myself places like Tabitha on Bewitched.
What’s your favorite way to give back to your community?
My best friend and I created a non-profit organization called, Caring Cub. We provide care packages for single parents to help with the safety, health, and wellbeing of their babies and young children. We have helped many families over the years.
What drew you to CertaPro Painters Indianapolis?
I was excited by the opportunity to help grow and strengthen CPPI’s reputation on the commercial side. This role allows me to focus on building meaningful partnerships that extend beyond a single project and develop into long-term, trusted relationships.
