A Manufacturing Makeover
This project included painting the walls, ceilings, and structural components surrounding the thread rolling and heat treatment areas of the facility. These surfaces had not been painted in over 25 years, requiring extensive cleaning and surface preparation prior to coating application.
Our team completed a thorough prep process followed by the application of two finish coats of a high-performance industrial protective coating. The result was a significantly brighter, cleaner environment that enhances both visibility and overall workplace safety.
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Our team performed detailed hand washing and cleaning, along with comprehensive prep work to protect all machinery and operational equipment located beneath the work areas. Given the active nature of the facility, the project also required a high level of planning, coordination, and execution to ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS:
Given the active nature of the facility, the surfaces to be painted required hand cleaning to properly remove dust, dirt and oil that accumulated on the ceilings, structure and walls. A high level of planning and coordination was essential. We worked closely with the customer to schedule and execute targeted machine shutdowns, minimizing disruption to critical manufacturing lines.
A combination of scissor lifts and articulating boom lifts were utilized to safely and efficiently access elevated surfaces throughout the space.

Due to the accumulation of oil, dirt, and contaminants typical in a manufacturing environment, proper cleaning and surface preparation were critical to the long-term success of the coating system.
