On Friday, September 9th at 10am, the teammates of CertaPro Indianapolis and Sherwin Williams, along with our clients and members of our local community will be visiting Ernie Taylor’s farm to repaint his hand made sculptures. Maintenance has become too difficult for him in recent years as he now in his mid-nineties with heart problems.

About Ernie & his sculptures:

Taylor grew up during the great depression, to escape his impoverished lifestyle he was the first in his family to graduate from high school. He focused on welding courses which lead to a long career as in professional welding. Ernie served in World War II and was stationed in Italy. Taylor now lives what he calls “a simple life” on his property off Ind. 32, where he has lived since 1962. His truck, a red ’89 Chevy, is parked among a cluster of metal art pieces he has welded and crafted into shapes of floral arrangements, people and animals — a hobby he and his wife started when he retired nearly 25 years ago. Ernies artwork is his passion, and he could use a hand with maintaining the work he created over the years. Learn about Ernie Taylor more at youarecurrent.com.
