Industrial Painting Project in Muncie, Indiana

Taurus Tool and Engineering in Muncie, Indiana was seeking professional painters to help them refresh their facility and remove yellowish stains on some white areas. This included things like cleaning and getting rid of ceiling and wall stains from years of smoke damage coming from the machine equipment.

The main purpose for them was to have a trusted partner give the facility new life and make sure all dirt or stains were removed from interior surfaces. The project posed some unique challenges, including the need to work in an existing facility that hadn’t been cleaned in a while and needed all surfaces cleaned by hand.

CHALLENGES:

The main challenge our team faced while completing this project was that the facility hadn’t been cleaned in a long time and there were a lot of stains to remove. To do this, we needed to clean the entire facility by hand to ensure all the dirt, oil, and other debris were removed from all interior surfaces.

Our team also needed to make sure that we were using specific priming products on the surfaces we were painting that previously had stains. This was critical to ensure the newly painted surfaces showed no signs of stains.

CONDITIONS:

40-year-old industrial building that previously served as a welding, tool and die, and manufacturing warehouse
Many stains on both the ceiling and the walls in the facility

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:

Plan: Working with Taurus Tool and Engineering to understand their unique needs and how we could best complete the cleaning and painting of their facility.
Clean: Providing cleaning treatments with solutions, by hand, to ensure the interior space and its surfaces were ready for the repaint.
Paint and Repair: Applying primer and paint and making repairs to the ceiling, drywall, corrugated metal walls, roll-up doors, man doors, door frames, stairs, railings, and dock levelers.

This project took our team around 6 weeks, from start to finish, to complete.

BENEFITS

The attention to detail our team brought, allowed for a successful project that gave the facility a refreshed look. All of the cleaning, repairs, and painting we did, made Taurus Tool and Engineering proud to see their space brought back to life. When we completed the project, they were proud of the outcome.

Fading Interior Walls

The colors on the interior walls were starting to show signs of age, the prep process will clean the surfaces and paint them to a like-new condition.
