In May of 2021 our flooring installers were called out to a rehabilitation facility in the local service area to complete a flooring repair service. Our team refreshed a 60 square foot bathroom with their professional epoxy flooring installation skills. ABOUT THE PROJECT:
This was a rehabilitation hospital in the Indianapolis service area. Our painting contractors refreshed a 60 square foot bathroom floor in the hospital. The facility owners were very happy with the end results of their flooring repair service.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
The floor was in poor shape with a settling crack, and the prior coating system was quickly coming to the end of its use-life. The floor was well worn and very stained. We sanded the existing coating, applied a patch repair to the crack, thoroughly cleaned the floor, applied our base coat, broadcasted our quartz into the base coat, repeated the base coat and broadcast process, and then finished with two topcoats and an anti-slip additive.
SPECIAL CHALLENGES:
Working in an active hospital is very challenging, but can easily be done with proper communication and realistic expectations being set. We utilized a HEPA vacuum system during our sanding process to minimize any dust contaminants, and set up a prep station away from the high traffic areas of the hospital hallways to minimize any disruption to the high traffic areas.
PROJECT TIMELINE:
The project took 2 days to complete. We finished this flooring project in May of 2021.
