The Packard Condos in Downtown Indianapolis
Featured Commercial Project
The Packard Condos in Downtown Indianapolis
The Packard Condos in Downtown Indianapolis noticed that the doors and metal railings on the exterior of their buildings were beginning to rust and wanted to repair and refresh them.
This project was important for the condo community to help maintain a well-kept look in their Ohio St. neighborhood. The project included pressure washing, scraping and wire brushing rust, spot priming rusted metal areas, and painting.
CHALLENGES:
Throughout the completion of this project, our team navigated two major challenges, the first being working in a condo space with buildings 30ft high from ground level. Additionally, our team had to carefully prepare the rusting metal before beginning the implementation of the project.
CONDITIONS:
- Plan: Communicating with Packard Condos Downtown Indianapolis to understand the end result they were looking for with this project.
- Assessment: Working alongside the Property Manager of the Condos to provide communication of how and when each of the owner’s balconies would be accessed.
- Implementation: Having our crew painting condos and continuing to communicate with owners until all were completed.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- Drywall repairs – prior to painting we addressed issues on the drywall.
- Painting – providing a new color to the interior of the areas.
PROJECT TIMELINE
This project started in the Spring and was completed in a month by a smaller crew that allowed for more control of communication with owners.
BENEFITS
Before the project began, the doors and railings had not been painted in years and had started to look aged. Then, after the project was completed, the new appearance with maintenance was able to increase the value of each owner’s condo.
