Refreshing a High-Traffic School Corridor During the Holiday Break
In October 2025, CertaPro Painters® of Indianapolis completed an interior renovation project at Mary Bryan Elementary School in Indianapolis, Indiana. The project focused on refreshing the school’s hallways to create a brighter, more welcoming environment for students, teachers, and staff.
With a focus on durability and visual appeal, the goal was to apply a long-lasting coating system capable of withstanding daily wear in a high-traffic educational setting.
Prior to the project, the hallway surfaces showed signs of wear typical of an active elementary school environment. Walls required repairs and a fresh coating to improve both appearance and durability.
The school was ready for an update that would not only enhance the look of the space but also provide a more vibrant and engaging atmosphere for students.
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
The project included drywall repairs and full interior painting of hallway wall surfaces throughout the school. Surface preparation was completed prior to painting to ensure a smooth, consistent finish.
A durable, industrial-grade coating system was applied to withstand the high levels of daily traffic common in school corridors. The updated finish helped create a clean, bright, and inviting environment across the hallways.
CHALLENGES & SOLUTIONS:
The primary challenge of the project was the tight timeline. All work needed to be completed while the school was closed for Christmas break, leaving a limited window to finish the job.
To meet this deadline, the crew worked extended hours and maintained a highly efficient workflow. Careful planning and coordination allowed the team to complete the project on time without compromising quality.
