Carmel High School Gym
Carmel High School was searching for a professional painting partner to help them revitalize or “dress up,” the main entrance to their gymnasium court. The project included a base coat painting and painted diagonal stripes with the school’s colors. They went with a diagonal approach to create a more unique entry experience for their students and sporting event guests, even though horizontal stripes are more commonly seen in this type of setting.

CHALLENGES:
CHALLENGES:Throughout the completion of this project, our team didn’t need to use any special equipment. However, we were careful to pay attention to the textured wall surface and the intricacy of diagonal striping when painting.
CONDITIONS:
- The block walls were in good condition upon initial evaluation.
- There were some job repairs needed in some of the drywall areas prior to painting.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- Plan: Communicating with Carmel High School personnel to understand the end result they were looking for with this project.
- Collaboration: Working with an interior designer for plans and measurements of striping specifications.
- Implementation: Continuous communication between production and crews to ensure all repairs and painting were completed and provided high quality results.
PROJECT TIMELINE
Carmel High School was eager to get the work done, but there was no deadline on starting or completing the job. It took our team three days to complete.
