At CertaPro Painters® of Indianapolis, we recently completed a residential project in Greenwood, IN, focusing on updating the front porch of a home with faux wooden posts. The customer wanted to modernize the look of their porch and eliminate the need for frequent painting by using a more durable and aesthetically pleasing solution.
Initial Condition:
The existing porch posts were tired-looking and required frequent maintenance. The customer was looking for a modern upgrade and decided to go with faux wooden posts that would provide a natural wood appearance without the hassle of regular upkeep.
Scope of Work:
- Removal of Existing Structures: We began by removing the “wing” pieces of the existing posts.
- Fabrication and Installation: Our skilled carpenter then fabricated the new faux wooden posts around the existing structures, ensuring a seamless and sturdy installation.
- Staining: To enhance the natural beauty of the cedar, we applied a clear stain that made the wood color pop and added a layer of protection against the elements.
Challenges:
