Residential Painting Project – Brick One Story Home In Decatur, GA
CertaPro Painters of Huntsville recently completed an exterior painting project for a one-story brick home. The client wanted the new home painted white and selected Shoji White after a thorough consultation on off-white color options. The team began by pressure washing the brick to ensure a clean surface, then masked off the soffits, gutters, windows, and front porch. They moved any furniture near the siding and removed the shutters. Next, they applied a coat of Loxon primer tinted to Shoji White, followed by a top coat of Sherwin Williams Duration paint in the same color. The front door received two coats of Sherwin Williams SuperPaint in Tricorn Black. After removing all masking, the team conducted a walkthrough with the client, who was thrilled with the transformation of their new home.

Special Challenges: The temperature was extremely high, which accelerated the drying times. We had to work quickly to ensure an even coat across the surface. Darker bricks were spot-primed before applying an even topcoat to fully cover them.
Project Timeline: Overall we finished the project within 3 days.
