CHALLENGES:
The Mall opened their doors at 9:00 am daily. As a result, our team had to start @ 6:00 am and complete their daily efforts prior to 9:00 am at the 2 main entrances. This required placing and tearing down cones and caution tape on a daily basis to assure customers were not negatively impacted
A mobile water truck and 40′ lift was required for power washing and painting this super-structure from top to bottom.
Projects of this size also require proper coordination within the crew. Appropriate measures are taken to ensure the quality of their work in a timely manner.
CONDITIONS:
Weathered Block Walls – They were faded and worn before our arrival
Dated Color Scheme – The pinkish salmon colors were not fit for modern standards
Extensive Damage & Discoloration – From the exterior facade to the door frames and bollards, almost every inch of this facility required a minimum of power washing, and often much more.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT
Preparations – A mobile water truck, 40′ lift, and team of 6-8 painters had to be brought in and organized to get this project done in a timely manner before shopping for the holiday season could begin.
Repairs – Pressure washing came first, following by priming the bare surfaces, caulking weak points, and performing light masonry work to reshape pillar bases before painting.
Painting – Our painters transitioned salmon colored surfaces to a more attractive smokey brown for a modernized look that would invite more customers to the location.
