Commercial Case Study

The Client:

Since 2016, THEA has been curating the Greek culinary experience right in Mechanicsburg, PA.

In the beginning of July, 2023, the owner of the restaurant enlisted our help in restoring and repainting the building’s exquisite interior.

With a beautiful restaurant serving a wide selection of enticing Greek dishes, a great deal of foot traffic is to be expected. Upon our initial visit, the faded and tattered walls were evident. Years of patrons sliding and bumping chairs against the walls was the likely cause for the damages. The front door was also in rough shape; being that the entrance is the customer’s first impression of the establishment, we knew we had to address it as well.

The Client Challenge:

Extensive prep work was required to mend the crown molding and interior walls of the restaurant. A balanced combination of caulk and wood putty was used to fill and seal the cracks and gouges in the wall, as well as the trim lining the ceiling.

The front door also needed to be sanded down and re-stained as it had received a fair amount of wear-and-tear. We used a Festool sander to smooth the surface in preparation for the stain, then went ahead with our standard staining procedure. Apart from the myriad of wall repairs, we finally applied a fresh coat of paint to the restaurant’s interior.

Timing is of the essence when it comes to commercial painting projects, especially for restaurants that operate year round. From July 1st to July 8th, we coordinated the project’s progression with the owner such that it would not disturb their business while still meeting the assigned deadlines.

The Success and Result:

Despite these challenges, our professional crew was able to complete this project in only eight days. With a total interior revamp and a fully renovated entrance, this restaurant will be prepared for the slew of Fall and Winter holidays to come.
