Office Building Refinishing Project in Palmyra, PA

In November 2020, CertaPro Painters^® of Harrisburg, PA was contacted to assist in painting the interior office building in Palmyra. This included roughly 4,500 square feet of wall space to be painted. Other surfaces included Doors/Frames, Baseboard, Chair Rail, Window Frames and Shelving.

The condition of this business was “dated”. It contained very old wall covering and a significant amount of wood stained doors and frames and general trim.

The project required applying wall compound where necessary, primer and 2 full coats of Sherwin Williams Quality Interior Latex Finish Paint. In some cases, wall coverings were starting to peel away from the drywall. As a result, those areas were meticulously removed with a razor knife. Wallpaper paper compound was applied and sanded several times to achieve balanced consistency with the rest of the wall.

This was an operating business which required the project to be conducted outside of normal business hours. Our teams started painting at 8pm and concluded at 4am daily. Our crew had to remove surface coverings (plastic, tape, etc.) and return all furniture to it’s original place on a daily basis so this business could hit the ground running at shift start.
