Mountain Brook Bathroom Ceiling Project

Project: The bathroom in this home was having moisture problems from hot showers and inadequate ventilation. Unbeknownst to the homeowner, the ceilings in the bathroom were not prepared properly by priming the drywall prior to painting. Over time, the moisture eventually caused the paint to begin peeling completely away from the ceiling and falling off in large sheets.

Result: Our team then came in January 2024 to scrape all the paint off the drywall. Afterwards, we did some light drywall work to skim coat the entire ceiling and then sand smooth. We primed the bare drywall before applying a finishing top coat of paint. The homeowner also installed extra ventilation fans to help prevent future moisture buildup in the bathroom. The end result turned out great, with the homeowner happy to see their bathroom look like new again!
