How Much Will It Cost to Paint My Home’s Interior in the Greater Media Area?

A Room-by-Room Guide to Our Interior Pricing

Many homeowners want a clear understanding of pricing to help budget their interior painting projects. To assist with this, we’ve put together a room-by-room guide to give you a general idea of costs. Keep in mind that the prices shared here are averages, and several factors can influence the final cost, either increasing or decreasing the estimate.

Factors That Affect the Cost of Your Painting Project

  1. The Number of Surfaces Being Painted

Are we painting just the walls, or will we also be painting trim, doors, baseboards, and crown molding? More surfaces mean a higher price.

Surface Conditions

If your walls have dings, scratches, or holes, additional prep work is required, which increases labor time. Special surfaces such as horsehair plaster or wallpaper removal can also impact costs.

Ceiling & Wall Height

Standard 8-foot ceilings are easier (and less expensive) to paint than a 16-foot foyer or a vaulted ceiling, which requires special equipment and more labor.

Color Changes

If you’re switching from a light to a dark color (or vice versa), extra coats may be necessary. Our standard pricing includes two coats, but drastic color changes may require three or more.

Sample Pricing for Typical Room Sizes in the Greater Media Area

Below are some estimated prices based on common room sizes in homes throughout the Greater Media area. These estimates assume:

  • Walls & ceilings: 2 coats of paint
  • Doors & trim (baseboard, door frames, crown molding, wainscoting): 1 coat of paint
  • Mid-grade paint from reputable brands like Sherwin-Williams Duration Home or Benjamin Moore Regal

Prices will vary based on the total number of rooms and surfaces included in your project. The estimates below include standard prep for each surface being painted.
