Commercial Case Study
Olde Homestead Country Club
The Client & Their Story:
Olde Homestead Country Club contacted us in May 2022 to update various areas around the club. Each space presented a different issue that needed attention, such as peeling paint, rust, bare wood, masonry damage, or damage to the trim and siding. They wanted the colors of the space to stay the same; however, they weren’t sure what those colors were. Additionally, the club would remain open during the project, so we had to ensure their guests weren’t disturbed and that our crew would finish before their busy wedding season began.
CertaPro Painters® Solution:
Ensuring the patrons’ safety at Olde Homestead Country Club was a top priority while completing this project. To accomplish this, we marked off portions of the areas we were working on so patrons could walk by safely. Then, we were able to begin the rest of the work.
We power washed and wiped down all of the surfaces being painted and scraped off any loose or peeling paint. Additionally, we stripped the existing surface coating, spot-primed bare wood, performed window glazing, re-sculpted the trim and siding where it was damaged, and performed some masonry patching.
As for the color palette, we successfully matched the facility’s original paint colors using Benjamin Moore paints and primers.
Here are the specific paints and primers we used and where we used them:
- Barn and Pergola (Light Oak): Benjamin Moore’s Ready Seal
- Barn and Pergola (Hickory): Benjamin Moore’s Ready Seal
- Barn and Pergola (Dark Walnut): Benjamin Moore’s Ready Seal
- Doors and Barn Accent Pieces: Benjamin Moore Ultra Spec
- Metal Roof: Benjamin Moore Rust Scat Polyurethane Enamel
Results:
After five days, the final result was a revived country club ready for the upcoming wedding season. Olde Homestead Country Club was pleased with the quality and speed of our work, as well as our ability to match their previous paint colors. Overall, we were able to work through this project’s various challenges and had a lot of fun doing so.
