Job Opening – Residential Sales Associate
CertaPro Painters of the Lehigh Valley and Poconos region is seeking a Residential Salesperson with a consultative (not pushy) home services sales approach to help homeowners with their painting projects. You’ll meet with clients in their homes, prepare quotes, and guide them through their interior and/or exterior painting purchase journeys.
The ideal candidate is coachable, motivated, and a genuinely kind person.
You’ll work on the road most days meeting with homeowners throughout the Greater Lehigh Valley and Poconos areas (Primarily Northampton and Monroe Counties) In-office attendance is required for a few meetings per week in the Hellertown office.

What You’ll Do:
- Build rapport with customers.
- Use our software to prepare accurate quotes (we’ll train you and it’s straightforward).
- Use or CRM to document customer preferences
- Listen carefully to customer needs and ensure details are passed on to painters.
- Be punctual and follow up after every appointment.
- Stay resilient: our salespeople close about 50% of the quotes they give.
- Be thorough: include every detail of the project in your proposals.
- Respond quickly. Our culture values proactivity, urgency and responsiveness.
- Uphold our service-first mindset: We work hard to deliver what we promise.
- We value humility. You’ll work collaboratively, listen first, and let the customer’s needs guide the process.
- About 70% of Leads are provided, and you will also be expected to self-generate leads for the remaining 30% of leads.
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays and evenings to meet customer needs.
Local role. Client visits in the Lehigh Valley and Poconos areas.
What We Offer:
Compensation $65,000–$90,000+ (includes a base salary plus commission)
- First-year rookies typically earn ~$65,000 (base + commission).
- Experienced reps can earn ~$90,000+ in their first year (base + commission)

Before You Apply – Please Read:
This role is NOT remote, requires daily travel to customer homes, and needs someone who is highly reliable, organized, and comfortable working independently. You MUST HAVE sales experience, a valid driver’s license, and a consistent work history. If you prefer a desk job, high structure, or constant supervision, this role will not be a good fit.
