Apartment Complex Painting Project Completed by CertaPro Painters® of Grand Haven
Our commercial painting team completed this commercial painting project in Fall of 2020. The project was completed on an apartment complex located in Grand Blanc, MI and took our team 2 months to complete.
OVERVIEW:
Exterior painting on wood trim and wood shake siding on 6 apartment buildings was needed on 4 to 6 corridors. Service included painting detached enclosed garages adjacent to buildings, painting main entrance doors into building corridors and painting the exhaust vent piping on the roof.
CONDITION OF BUILDING BEFORE:
Surface condition of the wood varied from worn paint, peeling paint to bare wood spots. The same colors were used to recoat the buildings. This client provided paint and requested 1-coat coverage using the same color. We provide this service in various areas for this client to help maintain the exteriors of their assets.
CHALLENGES:
Our team worked around residents entering and leaving the buildings. Nearby cars were covered with plastic is spraying was conducted. All paints used in the project were inventoried by the client and a thorough inspection using ladders was conducted on each building. CertaPro coordinated schedules with the owners carpentry team to paint each building once the exterior damage was replaced. Areas had to be cleaned up daily. Color scheme included several accent colors in wood panels that required skilled painters to cut in.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT/TECHNIQUES:
Tall areas were accessed using a boom-lift and ladders. Some parking spots were sectioned off to all temporary use of equipment.
