Historic Home Exterior in Lombard, IL
by CertaPro Painters® of Glen Ellyn, IL
CertaPro Painters® of Glen Ellyn, IL was hired this past November to paint this historic home in Lomabard, IL. The owners of this 95-year old home felt that it was time to give the building’s exterior a refresh. Vines had become overgrown all around the exterior of the house, and in addition there were damages to some of the wooden accents and the original coat of paint. When our team of expert painters were brought in for the job, they knew immediately that this home would be a great showing of all of the professional skills that they’re prepared to employ.
The process of painting this home first began with the removal of the vines that the home-owner felt were obscuring the home’s original look. As our painters completed this portion of the job, they were careful not to damage any of the exterior of the home. They took their time with their work and ensured that the job was done right. As they progressed, they took note of damages to some of the wooden accents on the home that were covered by the vines so that they could come back later to fix them. When all the vines had been removed from the exterior, our painters employed their carpentry skills and replaced the rotting wood at the highest points of the home. After the repairs and vine removal process had been completed, our painters cleaned the area and hauled away all of the excess vines and wood. Next, our painters carefully set-up their workspace, and took to painting the upper level of the house.
Painting is the skill that comes easiest to our teams. They’re experienced in painting all kinds of homes and facilities, so the painting portion of the job was where they had their opportunity to shine. Over the course of a few days, our painters carefully refreshed the exterior of the home in a beautiful shade of white and presented their work to the home owner. They were thrilled with our work, and in the photo gallery below you can see why!
