Hawaiian Falls Water Park Exterior Refresh

Project: Hawaiian Falls in Waco, TX was ready for a vibrant exterior refresh! With faded paint, slippery concrete floors, and areas of minor stucco and trim damage, it was time to call in the professionals at CertaPro Painters^® of Georgetown, TX to restore both the look and safety of the facility.

Process: Our team began by meeting with the client to review the scope, timeline, and color selections. Once approved, we completed minor stucco and trim repairs to ensure all surfaces were sound and ready for paint. The project included a full exterior repaint using bold, eye-catching colors—Hibiscus (Pink) SW-6851, Dynamic Blue SW-6958, Fireworks SW-6867, and Jolly Green SW-6931—to match the fun, energetic atmosphere of the water park.

To address safety concerns, we installed a high-performance floor coating system in the entryways and bathrooms. Our team mechanically ground the existing epoxy down to bare concrete to ensure proper adhesion, then applied an epoxy block filler along lower wall areas to create a moisture barrier. After masking for clean edges, we applied a polyurea base coat followed by a polyaspartic topcoat mixed with SharkGrip non-slip additive, creating a durable, slip-resistant finish with a subtle textured feel.

While the project did not present major challenges, our team followed all proper preparation and safety procedures throughout, especially during the floor coating process to ensure long-lasting results and a safe environment for guests.

Result: This project took approximately two weeks to complete due to colder weather conditions. The result is a bright, refreshed, and safer space that both staff and visitors can enjoy. The transformation was such a success that it was even featured on Texas Modern Living Waco’s social media channels!
