Our painters are professionals and are compensated for a whole workday regardless of project size. While we don’t have a “written in stone” project minimum and will try to accommodate all our customers, projects below a certain number may be uneconomical, depending on project type and location.

Is there anything that can change the cost of my project after I receive a quote?

We usually quote for two coats on all surfaces, which is almost always sufficient. Sometimes a customer will select a color that needs more than two coats to cover the walls (i.e., reds, yellows, and some off-whites). We will often be able to point this out before the project starts, but sometimes the issue doesn’t arise until after painting begins. This situation also depends on other factors, like the condition of the surfaces when we start the project, the old color, etc. If this happens, we alert our customers about the issue and let them decide if they are satisfied with two coats or want to add an extra coat.

How many paint colors do you include in your typical proposal?

For interior proposals, our customers typically select one color per room. However, we are seeing more and more projects with fewer colors (such as first-floor and second-floor colors). Sometimes homeowners ask us to paint accent walls in a second color for a small charge.
