Light fixtures and fans should be properly covered or put away before the painting process begins.

Wash it Down

The most important step to any paint job is to wash the surface you plan to paint. You’ll likely need to rent or purchase a power washer to thoroughly clean the exterior of your home. Make sure that you are comfortable operating a power washer and do a few test runs before applying to the surface of your home.
