Luxury House Painting Project
in Fort Collins, CO
Luxury Home Renovation in Fort Collins, CO
Our Fort Collins painting team were recently called out to a luxury home in need of a full exterior painting service. The home had previously been stained, but the homeowner wanted a new paint color scheme for the exterior of their home prior to resale. This home was very tall and required the knowledge and skill of an experienced team of painting contractors. Their home had a completely different look and feel by the time we finished painting the home. Continue reading below for more details about this residential painting project.
Condition:
This home is a luxury residence that required the highest level of craftsman work and attention to detail. At almost 13k square feet, it required five of our best painters and a boom lift given the level of intricacy, volume, and scope. It had been previously stained multiple times and was being converted to paint. The conversion process required extra preparation and a much heavier application of product to achieve the color scheme desired. The crew hand scraped any loose or peeling stain as well as bare / exposed wood spots, re-caulked any areas that were previously caulked and spot primed as well before applying paint.
The new color scheme which was selected by the client with help from our professional color designer included three colors compared to the original single brown stain. Benjamin Moore Low Lustre Acrylic Latex paint with Gennex Technology was used on the cedar shingles in one color, the vertical wood siding in a 2nd color and in a 3rd color for trim to protect against color fading and UV damage. The crew also re-stained the front/West deck/patio floor as well as a landing and step on the South side using Benjamin Moore Arborcoat. This client was preparing to sell the home and wanted to invest in the exterior paint job to increase the sale price as much as possible.
Project Involvement:

Special Challenges:
