Project: Exterior Transformation of a Two-Story Home and Detached Garage

Process: Our team was entrusted with the task of revitalizing the exterior of a two-story home and its recently constructed detached garage. Prior to commencing the project, we assessed the property and determined that it was in good condition overall. However, extensive caulking was required for the soffit, fascia, siding, and around all windows and doors of the garage.

The scope of work included power washing, thorough preparation, and painting of the entire exterior, including the brick surfaces. The desired color scheme entailed a three-toned approach. The brick and siding of both the house and the detached garage were to be painted with Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray, a beautiful light gray shade. The soffit, fascia, gutters, downspouts, window frames, doors, and door frames were to be coated with Sherwin Williams Iron Ore, a rich black hue. Additionally, the front door was to be painted in Sherwin Williams Sea Serpent, a captivating dark blue/gray color. To ensure a seamless finish, our team meticulously checked and re-caulked any existing gaps or cracks on the main house, specifically around the doors and windows. As for the brick and stone work, which had not been previously painted, we primed them with a suitable latex primer designed for brick and masonry surfaces.

Notably, the detached garage, being recently constructed, had never been caulked. Consequently, our team took extra care in caulking the soffit, fascia, siding, and all window and door areas. To safeguard the windows, lights, cameras, and fixtures during the painting process, we diligently covered and protected them, considering that a significant portion of these areas would be painted using an airless sprayer. For the client’s specific request, we also painted the metal window frames black, applying an extreme bonding primer to ensure optimal adhesion for the top coats of paint.

Given the two-story nature of the house, our crew relied on multiple ladders to safely access the upper areas of both the home and the detached garage. Furthermore, we utilized airless sprayers to efficiently cover a majority of the surfaces.

Result: The project spanned over a duration of 7 days. Throughout the process, the client developed a strong affinity for our diligent and attentive crew. Their exceptional care and craftsmanship during the project impressed the client, who eagerly expressed their satisfaction with the final outcome. The transformed appearance of their home quickly became the talk of the neighborhood, leaving the client delighted with the remarkable renovation.
