Project: The exterior of this shopping center was in need of an update. The brick on the front and sides of the buildings were dull and faded, there was some moisture damage and settling cracks on the stucco, rusting on the metal frames, and an outdated color scheme.

Process: Our team started by power washing and prepping the exterior. It’s important to have a clean and smooth surface before painting so that any dirt and buildup is removed, and cracks are repaired to give you a flawless finish. Any rust spots on the metal doors, frames, and escape ladders were scraped and primed for painting.

Once the preparation was complete they moved on to painting the stucco top roof trim as well as the light beige brick and green subway tile accents along the building. From there the breezeway ceiling was painted, and all other areas were painted in Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray. In addition to the building, the pylon sign, two monument signs and the top metal signage for the monuments were all painted as well.

Challenges: Since this project was completed during the day, CertaPro Painters® of Lewisville/Flower Mound, TX had to be mindful of the foot and vehicle traffic coming in and out of the stores. Our team made sure vehicles were parked away from the area that was being worked on, and made as little disruption as possible. Because of the height of the pylon sign, the crew needed to bring in a lift to safely access the areas needed.

This project took a little over two weeks to complete and the customer was thrilled with the outcome. The color scheme and fresh coat of paint brought this shopping center back to life!
