Roof Renewal Project by CertaPro Painters®
Our customer was looking for professional preparation and painting of the exterior metal roofs for two buildings. The overall goal was to assist the facility in maintaining a maintenance cycle for its facility. In the process, CertaPro Painters® of Fairfax and Prince William rejuvenated the appearance and restored the lasting durable protective coating.
The roofs for the two buildings contained extensive rust and paint failure. CertaPro Painters® power washed the surfaces clean, scrape/sanded loose and peeling paint along with any excess rust, spot prime bare metal and applied two coats of DTM Acrylic to the surfaces in the customer selected Sherwin Williams color, Walnut Brown.

Project Involvement
The project involved surface preparation including power washing, scraping and sanding of loose and peeling paint as well as excess rust, spot prime repairs, and bare metal surfaces using SW Pro Industrial Pro-Cryl Primer and two top coats.
Due to the elevation of the roofs, CertaPro Painters® utilized two 60′ articulated boom lifts. Extensive care was taken to ensure the safety of patrons and vehicles through the use of signs and masking sheets.
CertaPro Painters completed the project in the specified time frame of 1 week and exceeded all expectations for the property manager and retail Center.
BEFORE PHOTOS
Before the project began, CertaPro Painters® of Fairfax and Prince William took pictures of the roof in its current state. Peeling paint and rust was prevalent through the two roofs under consideration.
Peeling and Faded Paint
The roofs had faded due to years of exposure and the paint was beginning to peel from the metal.
Rusted Sections
Sections of the roofing were rusted as the protective coatings were not originally applied or had worn away over time.
THE FINAL RESULT
After the project was completed, CertaPro’s team gathered images of the newly painted roofs. The new look of the roofs were part of an ongoing maintenance program to keep the property looking up to date.
Renewed Roofing
The rust and peeling paint was removed and replaced with a fresh coat of paint for long lasting protection and color retention.
All-Encompassing Finish
The commercial building adjacent to Nationwide Insurance received equal roofing maintenance for a uniform look to the facility.
