Brick Staining in Rexdale
A new homeowner couple in The Elms neighbourhood of Rexdale recently approached CertaPro Painters of Etobicoke to provide a cost-effective exterior makeover solution for their tidy brick bungalow.
The original brick was in fine condition, but its basic tan colour and dark brown painted window accents didn’t please the owners, who sought a completely different and more modern look for their new home. The cinder block foundation was also in need of some TLC, having extensive areas of inconsistent and peeling paint.
CertaPro worked closely with the owners, first helping them decide between painting and staining, and then providing tester samples to evaluate their ‘short list’ colours on an inconspicuous area of the wall surface. After some consideration, brick staining was chosen in order to maintain the visual appeal of the existing surface texture. Exterior latex paint in a complementary colour was specified for the foundation area.
In combination with an updated front window, the final result was a dramatic transformation to a stylish and contemporary look which, in the words of the thrilled owners, has made their home appear literally “brand new!”.
