Southside Manor
The Project:
In August of 2020, CertaPro Painters of Edmonton was contacted by the Southside Manor located in Edmonton for repairs and repainting. There was a large 12x15ft hole in the ceiling, right in the middle of the dining room, caused by a significant leak.
The Southside Manor is home that caters to elderly folks, and the timing of the project was during the middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The dining room needed to be re-drywalled, taped, mudded, and then painted. To ensure the safety of residents during this project and as required by Alberta Health Services, an Infection Control Risk Assessment was conducted, including hoarding to create a sealed dust-controlled barrier, sticky mats, and HEPA fliter vacuums. All of the project was completed at night so as to further protect the residents of the Southside Manor.
