What are Epoxy Floors?
Epoxy varies from paint because the end result has a very different finish and lasts longer than a standard latex or acrylic paint. The final look of an epoxy floor can vary greatly depending on the individual products and application technique utilized during the installation. Many color options are available. Some epoxy projects get flakes added to the top to add slip resistance, and a pop of extra color.
What is a Polyurea floor?
Polyurea is mostly used in commercial applications. However, it is an option for Garage floors. There are multiple finish options and the cured end product is much more durable than Epoxy. It has a faster curing time, and lower VOC’s (less smell). Polyurea usually has a higher cost associated with it, but many homeowners choose it over a standard Epoxy coating.
