CHALLENGES:
Painting commercial properties can be a simple task or an ambitious undertaking. This was a commercial exterior painting project for an apartment building that was 5 stories high with the three-coat paint process. Our main goal was to remove all efflorescence from the prior paint job that was completed by another company. The project required us to use special boom lifts of 65 feet and 85 feet, and swing stages for whole the duration of the project.

CONDITIONS:
Generally, the facility was in a good condition, however, it had a few stucco and drywall repairs that needed to be done. Damage to drywall, stucco, and other surfaces caused some slight delays to the project but it was still completed ahead of schedule.

PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:

Drywall Repairs – Our painter’s team took care of the drywall repairs. This is necessary before starting job to attain a smoother result in exterior paint application.
Stucco Repairs – We hired a special team to do the stucco repairs
Pressure washing – Preparation of exterior surfaces to ensure the cleanest surface to apply paint.
Prime Coat – PPG SealGrip HyrdroSealer
Intermediate coat – PPG Perma-Crete Hi-Build
Paint – PPG Sunproof and Acri-shield Max

THE FINAL RESULTS
This project was done during Covid-19 Pandemic, however, we started and finished ahead of schedule with few weather delays. All concerns that were found at the beginning of the project were addressed. The new exterior paint gives the building a fresh look and a modern vibe.
