Why You Should Get The Exterior of Your Home Painted Before Winter

Posted on November 8, 2022

Winter is coming right around the corner, which means that it will be more difficult to get the exterior of your home painted. Despite Sherwin-Williams and other paint manufactures integrating low-temperature technology into their paints, it is still recommended that temperatures do not get lower than freezing overnight while your exterior paint is drying, which is why we don’t recommend painting your exterior during the winter months.

This means that fall is the last opportunity of the year to get your home’s exterior painted. Not only does a fresh coat of paint give your home a new look for the holidays, but paint can protect it from the harsh weather and cold of winter. When it comes to scheduling your painting project, we also tend to be a lot less busier in the fall compared to spring and summer, which allows us to better schedule around times that work best for you.

In previous years, we’ve painted all the way through Thanksgiving, meaning there is only so much time left to get your exterior painted. At CertaPro Painters of East Metro Atlanta, we offer free estimates where we will talk about your project, discuss all of your options, and answer any questions that may come up before or during your estimate.
