Labor, skills and services required

The initial estimate you receive from us will factor in the projected labor hours required for our team to perform the job to the high standard that we uphold, including any prep work needed. Depending on the condition of your home and the nature of the job ahead of us, meeting this standard may also require additional work, such as drywall repair, wallpaper removal, light carpentry and, in rare cases, the safe removal of any lead paint that may be in the house. All of this will be thoroughly audited during your estimate process so that you’ll know exactly what the project would entail.

Upon completing your job, we’ll perform a thorough walkthrough with you to ensure that you’re happy with the final result. In the event that any touch-ups are needed, we’ll return to your home free of charge to take care of it.

Changes of Color

If you’re looking to give the interior or exterior of your home an entirely fresh look with a new color, extra costs can be incurred as additional coats may be required to fully conceal the original shade. This will vary by job and the type of paint being used, but generally, more contrast between the original color and the new one will mean more coats needed. As an example, turning a blue room white will most likely require multiple coats to ensure you don’t see the old color peeking through, but we may be able to get away with a single coat if the paint you’ve chosen is very close to the existing color.

Material costs can vary depending on the color and finish you’re looking for, as well as the type of surface the coat is being applied to and whether any additional supplies like primer, caulk or repair materials are needed. Permits/HOA Compliance

Depending on your home’s exact location and status, we may need to obtain certain permits and clearances in order to perform work on it. In some cases, this is a fairly straightforward task, but any additional costs incurred on our side as a result will be factored into the estimate. If you are part of a homeowners’ association that has imposed restrictions or guidelines on such projects, we will need to discuss them during the estimate process as well in order to ensure accurate pricing.
