UPS Facility in Des Moines

CertaPro Painters of Des Moines was hired for a job at a UPS facility in Des Moines with a long list of items to address. This included the cap of the building, corrugated metal siding, soffits, 80 overhead doors for trailing loading, pedestrian doors, light poles and even 7 cargo trailers used for on-site transport!

Upon arriving, the challenge ahead of our team was very obvious, as the paint on the building had faded quite severely and had even reached the point of peeling in certain areas, not to mention that the light poles and many of the building details would require a lift to reach. Furthermore, the facility is a bustling location with trucks coming to and from at all hours of the day, in addition to the workers constantly moving about inside the facility, requiring our team to be extra mindful of scheduling and the amount of space we were occupying. Special attention also had to be paid to the task of painting the on-site trailers, as they were in active use throughout the process and our window for painting could not interfere with the operations of the warehouse.

Through steady communication with the client and a commitment to our established schedule through the course of 6 weeks between May and June 2020, the project was completed. Now the warehouse, front-facing office, and the on-site transport trailers have been equipped with a fresh coat that will stand up and stand out for years to come, through the stress of the changing seasons and through the rigors of industrial work.
