CertaPro Painters of Denver was contracted by VASA Fitness to complete a targeted interior repaint across select areas of the club, including the wet area and other high-use spaces. The project required detailed planning and precise execution to ensure minimal disruption to gym operations, which run nearly 24 hours a day.
The scope included full edge-to-edge painting of designated areas, with special attention to masking vinyl wall logos and coordinating schedules to maintain member access and safety. All lifts and scaffolding were provided by CertaPro, including a bridge scaffold system for work above the pool area’s 22-foot ceilings. The wet area received a Pre-Catalyzed Epoxy paint system, chosen for its moisture resistance, durability, and ability to perform in high-humidity environments.
Challenges and Solutions
Executing the project in an active, nearly 24-hour fitness facility presented multiple challenges. CertaPro scheduled all main gym area work for night and after-hours shifts to limit operational impact. The wet area was addressed during normal hours while closed to members, coordinated with the client’s plan to drain the pool for maintenance.
To ensure coating adhesion and finish quality, the team washed the entire pool area with a TSP solution to remove accumulated chemical residues from chlorinated environments. Working safely above the drained pool required careful setup and monitoring of the bridge scaffold to ensure full reach and stability.
Clear communication and scheduling coordination were essential. CertaPro worked closely with the club’s management to sequence work efficiently, confirm access times, and ensure each area was cleaned and organized prior to turnover each day.

The completed project delivered a refreshed, professional look throughout the facility while maintaining uninterrupted operations for members. The newly coated wet area and interior surfaces now feature a durable, easy-to-clean finish designed to withstand high humidity, cleaning agents, and heavy daily use.
