Painting for a Cause: Outdoor Lab Foundation

Here at CertaPro Painters® of Lakewood, Golden, and Evergreen, we value supporting the advancement of STEM education in our local community. With every painting project we complete, a portion of the total cost will go to the Outdoor Lab Foundation. The Outdoor Lab Foundation has four specific ways they help our local cities including tuition assistance, intern programs, the high school leaders program, and a site support program. Below we will let you know a few of the reasons our team enjoys partnering with the Outdoor Lab Foundation.

Everyone Can Get Involved

Mountain lakeThe Outdoor Lab Foundation offers tuition assistance to students in the community and most schools can join for free or at a low cost. In 2021 they gave over $215,000 in grants to 36 neighborhood schools ensuring that everyone who wanted to get involved could. Due to the assistance initiative, almost 500 children were able to experience the Outdoor Lab and learn valuable life skills.

They Provide Essential Learning Experiences

When students attend Outdoor Lab, they learn unique outdoor skills, natural history, and can improve their personal leadership skills. The lab is a week-long camp that serves local 6th graders and high school students. According to the foundation, “Environmental education has proven to emphasize skills essential for succeeding in tomorrow’s world, such as questioning, investigating, defining problems, analyzing, interpreting, developing conclusions, and solving problems.”
