Springboro Schools in Springboro, Ohio were seeking professional painters to help them bring their building and learning spaces back to life, as well as protection to ensure their students and staff could enjoy the results for years to come. This included things like EIFS repairs, painting, and coatings. The main purpose for them was to have a trusted partner revitalize the existing space into something more modern, while still showcasing school spirit. The project posed some unique challenges, including the fact that the EIFS had never been painted before.

Challenges:
Challenges:The main challenge our team faced while completing this project was the need to work with a 60’ lift due to the design of the school’s building. We really had to make sure that things were coordinated, especially when painting areas that required this large of a lift.
Another challenge we dealt with throughout the project was rainy weather. However, with planning and the use of Duradeck, our team could prevent damages and still complete this project in a timely manner.
Conditions:
- EIFS repairs needed to be implemented across the entire building
- Paint needed to be applied to the majority of the building, both interior and exterior
Project Involvement:
- Plan: Working with the client to understand their unique needs and how we could best complete the project within their timeline, regardless of weather concerns.
- Repair: Making some EIFS repairs around the exterior of the building.
- Paint: Using paint and coating products from Sherwin Williams.
Project Timeline:
- The project took our team around 5 weeks to complete 231,000 sqft of paintable surface.
- Including planning, we worked on this project from September to November.
