Highway-Facing Commercial Building Transformation Along I-75
In September 2025, CertaPro Painters® of Dayton, OH completed a full exterior painting project for Reynolds Machinery Inc, a long-established industrial equipment supplier serving manufacturing companies in the Dayton, Ohio area. The building is located along the highly trafficked I-75 corridor, where thousands of vehicles pass by daily.
Before work began, the building featured older brick and stucco surfaces with a faded, neutral color palette dominated by tan and beige tones.
Despite its prime location and high visibility, the building did not effectively represent the company’s brand or attract attention from passing traffic. The goal of the project was to transform the facility’s exterior from a plain, utilitarian appearance into a bold, brand-aligned structure that stands out and reinforces the company’s identity.
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
The project began with a complete exterior power wash using a mold and mildew cleaner to remove dirt, contaminants, and organic buildup from the surfaces. This step ensured proper adhesion for the new coating system.
Following cleaning, the entire building was primed, including unfinished brick and previously painted stucco surfaces. This created a uniform base for the new color application and helped ensure long-term durability.
The final phase involved applying a bold, updated color scheme designed to align with the company’s branding. The new colors dramatically enhanced the building’s appearance and improved its visibility from the highway.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT:
To safely and efficiently access elevated areas of the building, the team utilized a 45-foot all-terrain boom lift provided by an equipment vendor. This allowed the crew to reach higher sections of the exterior while maintaining productivity and safety throughout the project.
