About the Project:

Scope of the Project:

In April 2025, a month-long renovation project took place in New Bremen, Ohio, at a large community swimming pool. The facility featured a main pool area, a children’s pool with a frog slide and umbrella foundation, a tall steel-framed slide, and decorative fencing.

The renovation involved comprehensive repairs to the concrete structure, including replacing the expansion joints. After grinding away the old adhesive, the entire pool floor was coated with a durable epoxy finish. Additionally, all metal elements—including the faded slide structure and rusted framework—were carefully prepped and repainted.

The pool deck was thoroughly cleaned using a rotary power washing unit, restoring it to a fresh and welcoming condition.

Special Challenges:

Prior to the project, the pool had a long history of issues with a leaking liner, which had been patched repeatedly over the years. Once the liner was finally removed, significant adhesive residue remained on the concrete floor, creating a major hurdle before any resurfacing could begin.

Despite the challenges presented by stubborn glue and aged surfaces, the project was completed efficiently within the one-month timeline using specialized equipment like a concrete grinder and industrial washers.
