Two-Building Commercial Repaint for Southern Glazer’s Facility

LOCATION: Whitehall, OH

TIMELINE: 3 weeks; Summer 2025

PROJECT SCOPE:

The project involved full exterior washing, preparation, priming, and painting of both warehouse structures and various architectural elements. The crew cleaned all paintable surfaces through power washing to remove the heavy buildup of dirt and debris accumulated over the years. After cleaning, all loose and peeling paint was scraped away to ensure a stable substrate. The team sanded man doors and railings to promote strong coating adhesion and restore a smooth surface.

Rusted areas were stabilized using rust converter prior to priming, ensuring long-term protection. Primer was applied to previously peeled or oxidized metal surfaces before the finish coats were installed. The repainting scope included the metal siding, foundation areas, railings, man doors, downspouts, drip edges—which were painted to match the siding—and the window trim on the front-left building. This comprehensive coverage ensured a uniform, professional finish across the entire facility.

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT & TECHNIQUES:

To safely access elevated sections of the buildings, CertaPro Painters of Columbus supplied and operated lifts throughout the duration of the project. These lifts allowed the team to complete all high-elevation prep and painting safely, efficiently, and with consistent quality.

COLOR SCHEME:

The client selected PPG paints in a bold color palette for the facility’s new look. We used In The Shadows for the main body color, and Black Magic for accent areas.
