This commercial project involved repainting the exterior of a retail center building in Columbus, Georgia. The building got a full transformation after 30 years of the same coat and color of tan paint. We painted the stucco siding from tan to a sparkling white, as well as the metal and concert surfaces on the ceiling, curb, and the Hamilton Square Street sign frame. The painting consisted over 30,000 square feet of surface area and took about 3 weeks to complete.

CHALLENGES:Large commercial projects provide their own set of challenges. For this project, our CertaPro Painters had to paint a retail building with 30,000 square feet of surface area from tan to white. Since Stucco is very dry and porous, it absorbs paint quickly, so the job required multiple coats of paint.
CONDITIONS:
- Color Change – This facility’s existing color scheme was out-of-date and no longer matched the company’s new color palette.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- Exterior Paint – We had to prime the area for coats of the coordinated color palette.
- Lift – Our team had to use a 45′ lift for this job to reach the high areas.
PROJECT TIMELINE – 3 Weeks
Final Results
After completion, areas of concern were surveyed and pictures were taken to validate the quality of work.
