A Bold Transformation
In August through September 2025, CertaPro Painters® of Columbus, GA and Auburn, AL completed a large-scale exterior repaint for Miltope Corporation in Montgomery, Alabama.
Miltope manufactures rugged, high-tech military products at this facility, which spans more than 65,000 square feet. The building had not been painted in years, and many surfaces showed signs of paint failure.The client selected bold, updated brand colors that brought new life to the facility and created a striking, modern appearance once the project was complete.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
The project involved repainting multiple exterior surfaces including tilt-up concrete siding, solid metal doors, metal awnings, and garage doors. The crew used premium coatings to deliver a durable finish capable of withstanding Alabama’s climate, while also giving the facility a sharp, refreshed look.
To reach the upper elevations of the building, a 45-foot boom lift was used extensively throughout the project. Careful preparation and application ensured consistent coverage and crisp lines across all building surfaces.
SPECIAL CHALLENGES
While the boom lift handled most of the work at height, there were several areas the lift could not access due to tight clearances. In these situations, the crew used ladders to complete the work safely and efficiently.
Attention to safety protocols was essential, given the height and scale of the project. Despite these challenges, the team delivered the project within the timeline, transforming a worn, faded facility into one that now reflects Miltope’s innovative, high-tech brand identity.
