Refreshing Greater Shady Grove Baptist Church’s Community Center
In January 2026, CertaPro Painters® of Columbus, GA and Auburn, AL completed a full interior repaint for the Community Outreach Building at Greater Shady Grove Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia. This month-long project marked the first major paint update the facility had seen in more than twenty years, and the goal was to completely transform the space with a fresh, vibrant new color scheme.
By updating every major interior surface, our team helped breathe new life into the building, creating a brighter, more welcoming environment for church programs, community events, and outreach services.
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:
The scope of work included repainting walls, ceilings, doors, door frames, window frames, metal railings, and stair stringers throughout the facility. Each area received a complete color change, delivering a cohesive interior refresh from top to bottom. The project required careful coordination across multiple surfaces and materials to ensure consistent coverage and a professional finish in a high-use community setting.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT
One of the standout challenges involved repainting the gym ceiling, which was transitioned from white to black for a bold, modern update. To safely access the high ceiling areas and maintain efficiency, our crew utilized a scissor lift to complete the work with precision and proper safety controls.

The Final Results
