Springhill Suites by Marriott, situated just north of Charlotte in Concord, NC, is a five-story hotel strategically positioned between Concord Mills and Charlotte Motor Speedway. Recently, the hotel underwent a significant transformation, marked by a two-tone sand/beige color scheme that required cleaning, repair, and repainting.
The CertaPro team took charge of the project, initiating the process by meticulously cleaning all surfaces intended for paint through a multi-step cleaning procedure. Subsequently, they addressed surface cracks and joint splits, ensuring a thorough preparation for the upcoming transformation. The entire exterior was primed before painting, emphasizing optimal adhesion and an extended life span for the newly revitalized appearance.
This renovation marked a dramatic color transition for the hotel, making it one of several locations undergoing updates. The CertaPro team’s expertise in surface preparation and painting has not only rejuvenated the aesthetics of the Springhill Suites by Marriott but also contributed to the ongoing enhancement of various locations within their portfolio.
CHALLENGES
CHALLENGESThis site was in use the entire time therefore access and parking restrictions were established with local management. Due to the height, and large boom lift was utilized. Protection of flower beds, cars, and other decorative items not being painted. December temperatures and increased site traffic.
INVOLVEMENT:
Cleaning, light carpentry and surface repair, prime coat, and two top coats.
- Exteriors – Primer Coat Application and Two Top Paint Coats.
- Repair – Light Carpentry and Surface Repair.
- Preparation – Cleaning and prepping was need to ensure a smooth paint finish.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT:
Boom lift to reach the top of the building. Sanders, sprayers, and concrete siding repair tools.
