Honest-1 Auto Care Project in Charlotte, NC
Honest-1 Auto Care on Monroe Road in South Charlotte prides itself on providing a comfortable and clean reception and waiting area for their customers. In July 2020, they wanted to refresh that area after having been in their South Charlotte location for a few years. CertaPro Painters® of Charlotte and Matthews, NC was contacted to assist in updating Honest-1’s interior with a professional and brand new appearance.
The key focus for the CertaPro team was to provide the best possible job as efficiently as possible. Efficient work mitigates the possibility of any inconveniences for the business and their operations. Execution of the task was also completed in compliance with Covid-19 protocols to keep everyone safe during the proceedings.
CHALLENGES:
Unique projects like the Honest-1 Auto Care renovation provide their own set of hurdles. A project providing an array of tasks requires proper communication among CertaPro team members to make sure all tasks are being completed in an effective manner.
CHALLENGES:In addition to painting specified walls, CertaPro Painters® repaired the hole in the bathroom wall, repaired the drywall damage where graphics and signs had been removed, installed PVC corner guards by the door from the welcome desk to the service bays and addressed a few metal doors which were peeling as a result of a previous contractor that had not properly prepped and painted the metal surfaces.
CONDITIONS:
- Outdated Wall Paint – Specified walls of Honest-1’s interior were in need of a more contemporary look.
- Drywall Damage – The bathroom door had put a hole in the drywall and was hastily repaired with tile.
- Graphic and Design Damage – Graphic removal on the walls left behind a blemished appearance.
- Tattered Wall Corners – The corners of the wall from welcome desk into the service bays were beat up from heavy traffic.
- Peeling Door Paint – The metal doors were peeling do to work from a previous contractor.
PROJECT INVOLVEMENT:
- Prep and Repair – Walls and metal doors were cleaned and prepped before painting and the drywall damage was repaired before applying a finish.
- Paint – The walls and doors were painted to cover worn and recently repaired sections. PVC guards were used to protect the wall corners in the high traffic areas.

Honest-1 Waiting Area
The waiting and customer area has worn walls, corners, and framing due to high traffic.

Certain wall sections were in need of a repaint to freshen up the look of Honest-1 Auto Care's interior.
Sign and Decor Wear
Signs and decor left multiple markings when removed from the walls all throughout the interior of the store.

THE FINAL RESULT

The waiting area was refinished with newly painted walls, door frames, and protection for wall corners for a long lasting finish.
