Apartment Exterior Painting Case Study

During the summer of 2023, CertaPro Painters^® of Charlotte-Matthews, NC was given the opportunity to repaint the exterior siding of an apartment complex in Charlotte, NC. The project consists of 10 apartment buildings, the clubhouse facility, and one laundry room facility, as well as the stairways and railings. The property was in dire condition with threats from the city of condemnation if the issues were not addressed immediately. CHALLENGES

Projects of this magnitude have their own set of challenges. Coordination within the CertaPro team and communication with the building’s management were paramount. We had with the property management to schedule the job faster than usual and coordinating work areas with tenants. If the issues were not resolved in a timely manner, the property would have been under threat from the city for condemnation.

.CONDITIONS AND INVOLVEMENT:
The project was in dire condition with visible damage and wood rot in desperate needs of repair and painting.

Exteriors – 10 occupied apartment buildings, i mixed use club house building, 1 laundry facility building, and all common stairs and railings
Repair – Wood rot replacement and light carpentry work.
Preparation – Cleaning and prepping was need to ensure a smooth paint finish.
